Renewal programme for language teaching at the Université Charles-de-Gaulle-Lille3
Author(s): Martine BenoitInstitution/Organisation: Université Charles-de-Gaulle-Lille3 (FR)
Summary
The University of Lille3 has had a Director of Language Policy for a number of years. With the changes in the presidential team made in 2006, a new policy regarding Languages for Specialists of Other Disciplines (LANSAD) at all levels of university studies (Degree, Masters, Doctorate), was initiated. This policy offers the integration of Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) language assessment into all courses, the integration of the benefits of new technologies into presential teaching and of the work carried out at the Language Resource Center (LRC) into learning. The latter developments are passed on to other departments by an inter-university project called InterU-Langues.
